What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is intentional, nonjudgmental awareness. When we are mindful, we choose what we will focus on and give it our full, curious attention.

-
Eating a piece of chocolate slowly and deliberately—savoring every moment of the experience.

-
Giving complete attention to what a child is saying—tuning out other distractions so that you can be present with him or her.

-
Choosing to focus wholly on your spouse during sex—bringing your attention back to them through the whole experience.

-
Noticing your emotions during conflict— being aware of how they show up in your body
